CASAS

Kindred Spirits

CASAS, is a specialist suicide bereavement support group, established and run by people who have experienced the loss of a loved one to suicide. People often find it easier to talk to someone who has experienced a similar tragedy and can more easily identify and sympathise with how you feel.

Bereavement Support

We provide a relaxed, informal environment, where people can share their feelings and experiences in a non-judgemental and confidential environment, with the aim to help people better understand and manage their feelings and to improve their quality of life.

We all grieve in our own unique way and in our own time. CASAS provides an environment where people can share coping strategies to deal with their loss, talk openly about the aftermath and support each other at different stages of their journey.

You are not alone

We understand some people are naturally nervous about attending. There is no need, we meet in an informal, relaxed environment. There is no pressure to talk at the first meeting, nor any other meeting. Many find comfort in just listening to others, knowing they are not alone. Some have lost a loved one as recently as a couple of months ago, others, many years ago in the past and still struggling to manage their feelings.

Our group is open to all those over 18 who have lost a loved one to suicide.

We meet the last Wednesday every month. For more information visit our Meetings page.
